A further benefit of macro shooting therefore being that you can fit all of your equipment into a relative small and convenient backpack or bag.

I don’t use or carry a tripod or monopod, I have experimented with both but personally prefer to shoot handheld as this provides greater flexibility and therefore ability to get close to and stay with your subjects as they move and go about their business.

Once you have decided upon your hardware as in your physical equipment it will become second nature and of course the more you spend time using it, the more familiar and comfortable and aware of it you will become, which will support your development as a macro shooter and also assist in improving your overall photography.
